Another Eucharistic Presentation, 1/24/2022: St. John Vianney Church, Kailua

Once again this ministry had the privileged opportunity to speak about the Eucharist - to witness to the truth of it; that IT IS THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.  This time around it was to the RCIA group at St. John Vianney Church in Kailua, Oahu, in which there are several adults preparing for their First Holy Communion.

For me, personally, it really shouldn't take much to prove what our Catholic Church teaches about the Blessed Sacrament because it all originated from Jesus, himself.   According to the Gospel of St. Luke, the Lord said at the Last Supper:

"This is my body..."

And in the Gospel of St. John, there are more words of Jesus that are just as explicit, among which is the straightforward sentence:

"My flesh is real food, and
my blood is real drink."

Can Jesus be any more clear about the Eucharist?

... but besides drawing on references from the Bible, I also provided examples from the writings of our early Church Father's to cite how early Christians interpreted our Lord's statements... as well as, the sayings and miracles of other later-era Saints such as St. Agnes of Montepulciano, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Paul of the Cross, St. Padre Pio, and St. Teresa of Calcutta.

Relics were present of a few "Eucharistic
Saints" who were referenced in the talk.

In addition, I shared about the phenomena of Eucharistic Miracles, providing overviews of several modern, Church-approved cases along with striking photos, which made an impression on the audience.

In the end, all of it pointed to the same obvious conclusion - what Jesus said is what Jesus said.  The Eucharist is His Body and Blood.
